Dr Craig Hendrie - Director

Dr Craig Hendrie graduated from the University of Queensland in 1988 (MBBS). After an internship he spent 11 years in Biloela & Moura, gaining extensive experience in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and rural medicine. He attained his Advanced Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1996, at Rockhampton Base Hospital. In 2000, he was awarded a Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. His special interests include skin cancer treatment, IUD insertions, men’s & women’s health.

Dr Jane Langley - Director

Dr Jane Langley graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1987 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). She then proceeded to complete her Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Frankston Hospital in 1990. Dr Langley decided to pursue a career in General Practice and hence completed her GP training program and was awarded the Fellowship of the Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 1992. Dr Langley was a founding director of Weyba Medical Centre in 1999. She strives to provide quality medical care to all and is interested in every aspect of general practice.

Dr Theo Shemansky - Director

Dr Theo Shemansky attended QUT where he completed his degree in Podiatry in 1998 ( B App Sci (Pod) Dist. ). He subsequently graduated from the University of Queensland medical school in 2002 with a Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery (MBBS). In 2007 he joined Weyba Medical Centre, and that year he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Dr Shemansky is also a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer, and has a passion in functional and sports medicine.

Dr Beth Hansen - Consulting GP

Beth Hansen graduated from UQ in 2003, completing her internship at Nambour hospital. She also worked in Darwin and remote Indigenous communities, before commencing her GP training in Fremantle. Although she continues to barrack for the Dockers, she is glad to be permanently back on the Sunshine Coast. Her special interests are Indigenous and women's health, although she enjoys all aspects of family medicine.

Dr Janet Savage - Consulting GP

Dr Janet Savage graduated from Sydney University in 1989 (MBBS Hons). After an internship in Sydney she undertook her GP training in Tamworth, NSW where she was awarded her FRACGP. She has worked in both the UK & Tonga.

Before moving to QLD in 2001, she attained her Diploma of Child health while undertaking work in Aboriginal health as well as working in the RAAF as a civilian Doctor.

She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has developed special interest in Paediatrics/Adolescent health and Antenatal Care.

Dr Melissa Teh - Consulting GP

Dr Melissa Teh (MBBS, B Psych.Sc) graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 and completed her resident training at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital. She has worked as a GP on the Gold Coast & completed her GP training in Noosa. She is a Fellow of the RACGP. Dr Teh holds a Bachelor degree in Psychological Science as well as Medicine & has special interests in mental health, sexual health, HIV medicine & women’s health as well as all aspects of general practice.

Dr Sylvia Schwabe - Consulting GP

Dr. Sylvia Schwabe graduated in Medicine from Leipzig University in Germany in 1984. She worked in Germany and the U.K. before emigrating to Australia in 1994. She gained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2004 and joined Weyba Medical Centre in the same year. Sylvia loves all aspects of General Practice
